In line with this prestigious accreditation, our commercial brokers are either holders of or are actively working towards the advanced designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Robert L. Whisler CPM
Chairman
Robert L. Whisler is Chairman of Brian Properties, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate company headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois, serving the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and the broader Chicagoland metro area. A lifelong Arlington Heights resident and Prospect High School alumnus (Class of 1979), Bob began his real estate career in 1982, the same year he earned his Illinois real estate license and has spent his entire professional life with Brian Properties.
Bob earned his Bachelor of General Studies and a Business Certificate from Indiana University in 1983, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He joined Brian Properties as a leasing associate immediately upon entering the profession, and he rose steadily through the organization. He was appointed Director of Leasing in 1985, named Vice President and Partner in 1987, elevated to President in 2002, and appointed Chairman in 2021, a progression spanning four decades of uninterrupted service to a single firm.
During his tenure as President, Bob grew the company's management portfolio to more than 70 commercial properties totaling over 1,500,000 square feet. He has been deeply involved in listing and selling commercial investment properties throughout Chicagoland and continues to serve as Manager for numerous property ownerships within the Brian Properties portfolio. In 1987, he earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and in 1990, he obtained an Illinois Continuing Education Instructor's License.
A recognized leader in the real estate community, Bob served as President of the Northwest Association of Realtors in 1998 following a five-year term on its Board of Directors, and served on the Executive Committee of the Illinois Association of Realtors in 1999. He has been a member of Village Bank and Trust's Board of Directors since 2007. He was named Realtor of the Year in 2000.
Bob's civic contributions in Arlington Heights are equally extensive. He was elected to the Arlington Heights Park District Board of Commissioners in 2001 and served three terms through 2013, including two years as Board President (2004–2006). In 2024, he was inducted into the Park District's Legacy Wall of Fame. He served as a Board Member of the Lattoff YMCA from 1991 to 2000, was a member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights for over two decades and earned the Paul Harris Fellow distinction, and chaired the Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation Golf Committee from 2013 to 2015. He also served on the Arlington Heights Dollars for Scholars board from 2010 to 2015.
Bob's passion for youth athletics has been a defining thread throughout his career. He served as Head Coach of Arlington Heights American Legion Baseball from 1980 to 2006 and as President of the Arlington Baseball Boosters from 1985 to 2019 — a commitment spanning nearly four decades. He was recognized with the Prospect High School Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004 and the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award in 2006.
Bob Whisler remains one of the most experienced and respected commercial real estate professionals in the Northwest Suburbs, with a career defined by deep community roots, institutional knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to the clients and properties he serves.

Mark R. Meskauskas CCIM, CPM
President
Career Summary
Mark started his career in tenant representation in the Downtown Chicago market. He helped clients in lease negotiations and space disposition and ultimately completed over 10 million dollars of transactions. Mark joined Brian Properties, Inc. in 2011 and specialized in leasing over 2 million square feet of office, retail, and medical space throughout Chicagoland. Mark is also responsible for business development in the Northwest Chicago submarket, specifically focusing on property management, leasing, and tenant representation assignments. Additionally, Mark helps clients as a tenant and buyer representative search for properties for lease or sale.

Thomas G. Hellgeth CCIM

Career Summary
Tom has been associated with Brian Properties, Inc. since 1982. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for listing and selling commercial/investment real estate throughout Northern Illinois, with a heavy concentration in the Northwest Suburban Area of Chicago. He specializes in the listing and sale of single and multi-tenant commercial buildings as well as site location for commercial uses.
Tom's commercial real estate listings that he currently markets total over $20 million. He has successfully been involved in more than $500 million in real estate transactions during his career. In total, he has participated in over 600 real estate transactions. Tom was named to the Illinois Association of Realtors Million Dollar Club in 1976 and has been a member every year since.

Scott A. Whisler CCIM
Vice President
Career Summary
Scott joined Brian Properties in 2003 and has specialized in representing owners and tenants in office and retail properties in the Northwest Suburbs. Scott has also completed numerous sales transactions, including shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial buildings.
A long-time resident of Arlington Heights, Scott started his career in the banking industry with Bank One as a commercial lender with stops at First Northwest Bank and Harris Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending. Specializing in the financing of commercial real estate properties has given Scott a well-rounded background and is a big asset when talking to both owners and buyers about their respective options.
